Both cards are a fun-fold style cards and are super easy to make! I hope you’ll give them a try 🙂
Card #1 – Portrait Style:
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Cut a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock for the base of the card.
2. Cut a 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of patterned paper. Score it at 1-3/4 inches. Adhere to the center of the card base as shown.
3. Cut another 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock. Score the 5-1/2 side at 2-3/4. Adhere this folded piece of cardstock to the patterned paper on the inside of the card.
Note: The 1-3/4 DSP flap and the flap of the cardstock will overlap.
4. Cut a piece of white cardstock at 2-1/2 x 4 inches. Emboss it and adhere it to the front of the Fresh Freesia cardstock.
5. Cut out the ice cream cone from a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock using the Share a Milkshake die. Fold the ice cream cone on the score lines and secure together.
6. Cut out two ice cream shapes, one from a piece of Petal Pink cardstock and one from a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock using the Share a Milkshake dies. Adhere them together and tuck them into the top of the ice cream cone.
7. Cut out the fudge topping from a piece of Early Espresso cardstock using one of the Share a Milkshake dies. Adhere it to the top of the ice cream cone.
8. Stamp the cherry image on a scrap piece of white cardstock using Sweet Sorbet ink. Cut out the image with the coordinating Share a Milkshake die and adhere it to the ice cream cone. Then adhere the entire cone to the card front as shown.
9. Stamp a greeting on a 1/2 wide piece of white cardstock using Early Espresso ink. Snip the greeting down with your scissors. Adhere the bottom part of the greeting to a 1/2 wide piece of DSP, as shown. Snip the end down a bit with your scissors. Adhere to the card front over the ice cream cone as shown.
10. Embellish the card front with a few Opaque Adhesive Backed Gems.
Decorating the Inside
11. Cut a piece of white cardstock at 2-1/2 x 4. Adhere it to the inside of the Fresh Freesia cardstock.
12. Cut a 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of DSP and adhere to the top part of the white cardstock.
13. Stamp a message on the inside of the card using Early Espresso ink.
To close the card, fold over the DSP flap on the left side of the card first. Then fold over the cardstock flap onto the DSP.
Card #2 – Landscape Style
1 Cut a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Petal Pink cardstock for the base of the card.
2. Cut a 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of patterned paper. Score it at 1-3/4 inches. Adhere to the center of the card base as shown.
3. Cut another 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Petal Pink cardstock. Score the 5-1/2 side at 2-3/4. Adhere this folded piece of cardstock to the patterned paper on the inside of the card.
Note: The 1-3/4 DSP flap and the flap of the cardstock will overlap.
4. Cut a piece of white cardstock at 2-1/2 x 4. Emboss it and adhere it to the front of the Petal Pink cardstock.
5. Stamp the sundae dish image, twice, on a scrap piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. Cut out the two dishes using the coordinating Share a Milkshake die.
6. Cut out two ice cream shapes, one from a piece of Petal Pink cardstock and one from a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock, using the Share a Milkshake dies. Adhere one to the top of each of the sundae dishes.
7. Cut out two fudge toppings from a piece of Early Espresso cardstock using one of the Share a Milkshake dies. Adhere it to the top of each of the sundaes.
8. Stamp the cherry image on a scrap piece of white cardstock, twice, using Sweet Sorbet ink. Cut out the image with the coordinating Share a Milkshake die and adhere it to the sundaes. Then adhere the sundaes to the card front as shown.
9. Stamp a greeting on a 1/2 wide piece of white cardstock using Early Espresso ink. Snip the greeting down with your scissors. Adhere the bottom part of the greeting to a 1/2 wide piece of DSP, as shown. Snip the end down a bit with your scissors. Adhere to the card front as shown.
10. Stamp the spoon shadow image on a scrap piece of Crumb Cake cardstock using Crumb Cake ink. Cut out the image with the coordinating spoon die. Adhere to the card front as shown the card front as shown.
11. Embellish the card front with a few Opaque Adhesive Backed Gems.
Decorating the Inside
12. Cut a piece of white cardstock at 2-1/2 x 4. Adhere it to the inside of the Fresh Freesia cardstock.
13. Cut a 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of DSP and adhere to the top part of the white cardstock.
14. Stamp a message on the inside of the card using Early Espresso ink.
To close the card, fold over the DSP flap on the bottom of the card first. Then fold over the
cardstock flap onto the DSP.
