Go To Greetings Birthday CAS Fall Card

I love a good CAS (Clean & Simple) card! Today’s card is my September birthday card sent out this month. Please email me if you’d like to receive a birthday card from me on your birthday each year! 🙂

I started by embossing a piece of Very Vanilla CS with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and matting it on a piece of Kraft 6×6 Paper for the card front.

I stamped the plaid image from the Christmas Scottie stamp set three times in Balmy Blue ink on Very Vanilla CS. I then used the next-to-smallest square from the Stylish Shapes die cut to cut three plaid squares, which I adhered to the card front with liquid glue.

On a strip of Very Vanilla CS, I stamped the sentiment from the Go To Greetings stamp set in Crumb Cake ink. I then snipped the end into a banner and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue.

With the Aspen Tree Dies I cut a large and a small leaf from Kraft Paper, and a small leaf from Very Vanilla CS. I attached the large leaf and the small Very Vanilla leaf with liquid glue over the top.

Then I tied a small, simple bow from Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine and attached it with a Glue Dot. The smaller Kraft leaf was then attached with a couple of Dimensionals.

I added a single Heart Pearl to the end of the sentiment and the card front was done!

On the inside, I continued the patterns from the front by first stamping a sentiment from the Christmas Scottie stamp set in Crumb Cake ink on a piece of Very Vanilla CS.

I made a mask by sticking a piece of Scotch Tape across the middle of the plaid stamp image from the Christmas Scottie and then inked the image with Balmy Blue ink.  I pulled off the Scotch Tape (don’t forget this part – ask me know I know! haha) and stamped the image over the sentiment.  The tape mask leaves a clear strip in the middle – perfect for the sentiment!

I added another Pearl Heart, too. Fun!
