Hooray To You ~ Rebecca’s 16th Birthday Card!

Yesterday we celebrated “my baby’s” 16th Birthday & I’ve been waiting to share the card I created with all of you until after she received it *Ãœ*

Her birthday card uses a sweet little stamp set in the Annual Catalog called…Hooray to You! You missed it? Check page 104.   Yup – I think a lot of folks might have paged right past it – but…I love it.  Especially when you add a little Flowers for Every Season DSP!

I started with a piece of Misty Moonlight Cardstock that I embossed in the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder and adhered to the front of my Misty Moonlight CS card base (Dry embossing the front of the card base can weaken it and make it flimsy!  You can get the same effect by embossing a piece of same-color cardstock cut at the size as the front of your card and adhering it with some liquid glue).

I then added a piece of the beautiful Flowers for Every Season DSP (isn’t this just the prettiest pack of paper?!), which I cut with the largest of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

On a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, I stamped the balloon image twice in Just Jade ink.  I cut out each of the images with the Stitched Rectangle Dies (I cut just the sentiment portion of the image in “landscape” orientation with a smaller die). I then adhered the larger rectangle to the Flowers for Every Season die cut with Liquid Glue. On the smaller piece, I used my Magenta Madness, Bumble Bee and Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Write Markers to color the flowers.  Then I carefully lined up the images and popped that over the larger die cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I colored some Rhinestone Basic Jewels with my Dark Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blends and added one to the bow – and a few to the colored flowers – and the card front was done!

I’m kicking myself for not taking pictures of the inside of the card to share with you today! (argh!)

This sweet stamp is ALSO featured in the 2020 Beginner’s Brochure on page 10-11, where you’ll find easy sample projects and…an “easy button” Project Collection!

I hope you liked Rebecca’s birthday card, and will circle back to take another look at this sweet little stamp set!
